Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is an empowering, evidence-based model of psychotherapy. This non-pathologizing model sees us as having a core “Self” along with parts of our personality which may appear as thoughts, beliefs, body sensations, feelings, memories, or images. By increasing our connection to our “Self” and our “Parts” we can identify and heal trauma, limiting burdens from unwanted beliefs and behaviors. This transformative shift in how you relate to and understand yourself offers greater clarity, curiosity, compassion, courage, calm, confidence, creativity and connectedness internally and with the world around you.
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy focuses on accessing the body as a primary source of information, intelligence and change for processing acute and developmental trauma. It utilizes mindfulness to tune into the body to develop awareness about how you organize your experiences on emotional, cognitive, and physical levels. It utilizes developing neurobiological evidence about the ways trauma is stored in the body.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an empirically validated treatment protocol for addressing trauma. EMDR is a highly researched modality that allows clients to process and heal from trauma using our brain’s built in system for processing experiences that gets disrupted during traumatic events.
